Normandy
June 10-19, 2005 This 10 day tour begins and end in Paris beginning
with a nite time tour of the City the the next day we begin our
tour through history beginning with Rouen, visiting the Cathedral
wonderfully painted by Monet and the spot where Joan of Arc was
burned at the stake, the next day brings us to the landing beaches
of Normandy, Sword, Juno, Gold, then to Arromanchesto visit the
Invasion Landings Museum and see the remnants of the artificial
port, the Mulberry B still in the bay. Then on to Omaha Beach and
the American Military Cemetery of St Laurent and then to the Rangers
Memorial at Pointe du Hoc. From here we head to Mt St Michel touring
the hill top Abbey and surrounding village, from Mt St Michel we
leave for the Loire Valley and Chateau country with its Castles
and Chateaus such a Chateau of Chaumont, Chambord, Cheverny and
Chenonceau, From the Loire Valley we return to Paris for our last
2 nites for the sights of Paris, Notre Dame, the Louvre, Champs
Elysees, the Palace de la Concorde, the Arc de Triumph. The tour
